Cohabitation Surveillance

Here at Private Detective Birmingham, we are often asked to undertake surveillance to prove cohabitation. There are several reasons why individuals may require the services of a private investigator this could be for several reasons such as for divorce proceedings or non-payment of child support.

Why would I need to conduct surveillance?

You can use surveillance during matrimonial disputes, and hiring a professional for this will give you a full written report along with supporting photographs. You can then provide these to your solicitor or the CSA.

In most divorce cases if you believe your partner to be cohabiting with a third party the partner would need to provide evidence that their partner is cohabitating with someone else and gathering evidence of this will help support your case.

How many sessions of surveillance do I need to do?

In most cases a solicitor would usually advise anything from 3 – 5 sessions to prove cohabitation however every solicitor and every case is unique we would always suggest to our clients to gain legal advice from their legal representative to check how many sessions they believe would be sufficient for your case.

How do I prove cohabitation?

The only way to prove cohabitation is to undertake surveillance to gather photographic evidence that the individual is living elsewhere when they are stating to the courts they are living alone and not in a relationship. We discussed earlier how many sessions we usually recommend based on the various cases we’ve worked on.

We are here to assist you if you need to prove cohabitation. If you have a case you wish to discuss then please feel free to call us on 0121 337 0043 to see how we can help you gather the evidence you need.
